Primary Purpose(The main reason for this job exists):
As a travel planner in Classic Travel your role is to communicate with the clients of Classic, source options for their travel needs and gain the sale. As the business of Classic Travel further evolves and expands it is very important that all team members be able to expand and develop with the business and the opportunities that arise.
As important team member you should at all time maintain a professional, positive and progressive role with all members of Classic Travel, East Shanghai International Travel and associated persons.
Responsibility (General job description---what will the candidate do on the job that contributes to the overall production of the company?):
1. Travel Management:
- Communicate with the clients of Classic, source options for their travel needs and gain the sale.
- Achieve and exceed own and team's established sales revenue targets.
- Understand the buying principles of Classic Travel and East Shanghai International Travel
- Seek to be extremely organised and efficient respecting the buying and selling systems in place.
- Always seek to better your communication with clients and suppliers of Classic Travel exceeding the manner directed.
- Ensure that the sales and supply processes contribute to making Classic Travel the very best travel service available in the market.
- Constantly seek to develop popular, innovative and profitable travel packages in conjunction with the Manager - Retail for other sales staff to sell to the market
- Respect the approved booking systems especially in relation to airline ticketing and land arrangements.
- Ensure travel quotations and proposals to customers occur within an agreed time frame, with an ongoing commitment to enhancing this process.
- Assist in the constant identification of suppliers to ensure quality and profit can be gained by Classic Travel delivering positive benefits to it¡¯s clients, WITHOUT COMPRIMISING QUALITY.
2. Office Environment:
- Participate in the ongoing campaign of training, seeking to develop your skills in way of product knowledge, sales skills and motivation.
- Actively participate in the '8.45am daily briefing' constantly reviewing demand, leads and conversion. Using this process to also focus attention on revenue targets, marketing updates, special periods and promotions.
- Maintain current, orderly and accurate customer travel files (hard copy and electronic), including relevant travel history files and required information for inclusion in the master file.
- Ensure that accurate payment and purchase systems are in place and being adhered to 100%.
- Assist the Manager in continually enhancing the 'Policy & Procedures' Manual for the retail operation.
Requirement:
1. Bachelor degree.
2. Fluent in English, both writing and conversation.
3. At least 2 to 3 years working experience in travel business.
4. Strong ambition and desire to sales and success.
5. International exposure.
